Miles for Midwives is a stroller-friendly 5K walk/run in Golden Gate Park on October 10th, 2010 to celebrate National Midwifery Week!! All parents, babies, doulas, providers and midwife supporters welcome!!!!
Registration by mail: 1. Check for $25 per person made out to ACNM Region 6 Chapter IV (babies are free)
2. Send Check and Name of Registrant and Phone/Email to Sonia Van Dyne 4227 18th St San Francisco, CA 94114
For pre-registration, check in at the pre-registration table to obtain your race bib.
Registration Day Of Race: Arrive between 7:30 and 8:30 am and head to the registration table to sign up and receive your race bib. Day of registration is $30 per person (babies are free).

American College of Nurse Midwives (Chapter 4, Region VI)
We are a local affiliate of the American College of Nurse Midwives. We meet regularly to support eachother in our work and promote midwifery awareness in our community.
To provide education to the general public regarding the proven safety of childbirth at home with a skilled midwife in attendance.
To provide educational opportunities to all midwives and students.
To work collaboratively with other organizations to assure consumer choice in childbirth
To pursue state laws and regulations that will be responsive to the needs of women and midwives and will protect the open and autonomous practice of all forms of midwifery in California.
To represent midwives coming from all routes of entry and all styles of practice whether they choose to be independent or licensed, thereby promoting unity through diversity.
The CNMA will hold their annual meeting immediately following the race, from 1:00-4:00 at UCSF School of Nursing Room N217. All midwives are encouraged to attend!
